Twitter is finally out of the hands of the Woke Left. Patriots paid to free speech with their heroic actions and lives sacrificed in the birth-war of America… now, another man has paid with his actions and fruits of the American dream. After months of uncertainty and doubt over whether he was serious, Elon Musk completed his purchase of Twitter.
Musk had already made a promise to promote greater free speech, and has even signaled that he will remove permanent user bans from the platform. Such a move would pave the way for former president Donald Trump, and countless other conservative voices, to return to the platform in short order.
While Musk's statements on his ideas and desire are welcome, they mean nothing without action; and yet, act he did.
Musk’s first major action as “Chief Twit” was to clean house. Elon Musk fired CEO Parag Agrawal, Chief Legal Officer ("in charge of safety") Vijaya Gadde, CFO Ned Segal, and General Counsel Sean Edgett.
Musk has thrown out everything but the kitchen sink, and has since aggressively signaled his commitment to America’s 1st Amendment, and to ending unchecked Leftist censorship of ideas and speech.
Virtue signaling may be satisfaction enough for the Left, but Elon Musk knows action speaks louder than words, and his actions thus far have been swift and resolute in pushing back against Woke ideology that pervades our media and communication platforms.
For years the Right has attempted to "build our own social media platform," but when Google removed Parler from its app store last year, and Apple nearly followed suit, the depth of the problem and the true, abusive power of the Left became much clearer.
Instead of building his own platform, Elon Musk exercised the dreamy right of true American capitalism to effectively buy one of the world’s most well-known social media giants. It is now up to consumers to support the free-speech initiatives guiding Musk’s actions (and substantial pocketbook). Google and Apple can't de-platform Twitter if it's too popular. Woke celebrities are dropping off Twitter like flies. No matter what side of whatever aisle you fall on, if you support free speech you should support a company that pushes back against censorship and constitutional infringement.
Twitter is not the only freedom-promoting company that needs our support.
Now you can help Mission: DFW, support Patriotic Companies. American Pride Month, a project of MDFW, has recently launched a campaign where you can help us identify Patriotic Companies that deserve our business, unlike Woke Corps.
